On Saturday 26th September 2015 was our second edition of TLB Revival located in Barnfield Crescent.
For this year’s annual event the crescent was buzzing with roaring engines, great music and aromatic/tasty food and coffee stalls.
A beautiful and peaceful day out, away from technology and emails for all attendees; who said that time travel doesn’t exist?
Classic cars and motorbikes drafted in Barnfield Crescent from early morning and if one left, another vintage vehicle would arrive to fill the parking space, all in great manners.
There were exciting specimens whether with two or four wheels. Norton and Triumph motorbikes, Pontiac and Mustang, Jaguar and Ford… the list is endless.
Great to see familiar faces such as Mr Andrew Butler Exeter photographer – tweed was de rigueur (as the French would say).
The atmosphere was wonderful; the sun was out in the blue sky as forecast by the Met Office. It couldn’t be more perfect.
At around 1.30pm, there was the visit from Velo Vintage for their well deserved tea break.
By looking around there was also a real effort from all participants. The way they dressed made the day let’s say… exceptional. It wasn’t just a cap, a hat or a jacket. Suited and booted giving all of us a real break from our daily routines, which proved that sometimes looking back can put a smile on a face. Simplicity is maybe something we are missing out?!
…The aim was to forget work for a day and meet other vintage/classic cars and motorbikes owners/enthusiasts, in order to share the same passion and exchange ideas and stories about these prestigious automobiles… Source
Reg Imray (93 years old) from Exmouth was also among the bikers – read more about his incredible life in the Express & Echo’s article.
Charity and raising money for Help for Heroes was on the agenda as well. It was hard to miss the iconic hut when you entered the beautiful Georgian crescent.
We mustn’t forget to mention Toucan Design who branded for the second year this particular event. Giving a real stamp of quality and visual identity to this fantastic vintage gathering in Exeter.
So, if you were not able to be part of TLB Revival 2015, see below a few photographs which captured the spirit of that day!
